A life-size bronze statue of the “King of Soul,” Otis Redding, stands in downtown Macon at the Otis Redding Center for the Arts. Sculpted by Bradley Cooley and Bradley Cooley Jr., the statue captures the legendary singer seated peacefully with his guitar, honoring his lasting connection to the city where he grew up. The sculpture was originally unveiled in 2002 and was later moved to its new home at the arts center.
